A History of Patience...
The family estate holds the name from a weed : "la Patience", growing on these grounds. In “Costières de Nîmes” appellation, with the limit of “Côtes du Rhône”, situated in Bezouce between Nimes and Avignon and two steps of the Bridge of Gard, it dwell on an about sixty hectares of vines on slopes of siliceous rollers exposed southern.
Richness of this soil, already recognized by the Popes of Avignon, as well as the exposure of a very sunny and windy Mediterranean climate, exalt the quality of the wines.
It is in 1994 that Christophe AGUILAR took up again the family exploitation, after running a cooperative cellar for 10 years.

The estate then included a dozen hectares of Local wine vines of the Slopes of the Bridge of Gard, vinified in cooperative. Christophe AGUILAR undertakes huge efforts of replanting vineyard, farming grounds in slopes won on the scrubland. The  typical Syrah and Grenache of the valley of the Rhone are mainly represented, but Mouverdre, Carignan, Merlot, Grenache white, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Cynsault are not forgot.
It will patiently wait 3 years before being able to make its first harvest on the familial estate completely restructured. He made the choice of the mode of a sustained culture, reducing its outputs by supporting the grape harvest in green when that is necessary and select each piece.
He vinifies its first bottles in 2000 and propose now 8 different wines, rents in bottles in the 3 colours in AOC “Costières de Nîmes” and “Vin de Pays”. Regulary recognized by the “Guide Hatchette des vins” and in the most beautiful tables of the region, these wines are now exported in more than ten countries.

• The tasting room…
It is in the splendid cellar of wine making of the estate, with stone of size going back to 1930 that a very new wine cellar of wine sale and tasting was born in 2002.
Christophe AGUILAR likes to make discover himself his wines very rich in fruits, power and smoothness with the image of his personality : 4 wines in  AOC “Costières de Nimes” are proposed (3 reds and 1 rosé), 3 out of grape  variety Wine (Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay) and 1 olive oil Picholine exit of the exploitation.

A new orientation...
Attached to the respect of nature, “Domaine de la Patience” will be directed in 2008 towards the organic farming of the vine and makes the choice to preserve the authenticity of the fruit by limiting the exogenic yeast and sulphur contribution.
That is translated with the launching of a news AOC red top-of-the-range, very promising realised on a selected piece for its expression of the soil, entirely hand picking and baptized Sébastien in homage to the grandfather who worked already this ground 50 years ago !
